2/10/18: After 6 months in our home, we are in love with this little nugget. She’s learning some fun tricks like jump and spin, play dead and roll over. She is such a fun dog to have around. We really wish we could keep her, but we want to keep our home open to more dogs in need. We know there is a perfect home out there for Ronnie, and we are excited to meet those people.

12/11/17: Ronnie has grown into such a happy girl, despite all of the pain she's no doubt endured. It is so wonderful to see these positive changes happening. At first, Ronnie was not happy about using a kennel. Luckily, she has figured out that her kennel is a safe space, all just for her.  If she wants to chew on a bone that is out in the living room, she will pick it and run (very enthusiastically) into her kennel to enjoy her bounty. Ronnie was initially an exuberant leash-puller; with some training and a walking harness, she has turned into the splendid walking partner. Ronnie is going to be an absolutely perfect companion for the right person, and we are so excited to meet you, whoever you are!

11/6/17: SO MANY CUDDLES! This dog is a perfect friend for those who dislike the cold. She prefers the warmth of indoors to long romps in the snow. Since the weather turned, Ronnie and I have spent many hours lounging by the fire, sewing and baking cookies. Every time I let her out of her kennel, she does this adorable slow, happy lolloping run through the house, and it makes me want to squish her face so much! We still have no accidents in the house, she's doing great in her kennel, and Ronnie is really honing her leash skills.

10/12/17: Ronnie is an amazing dog. So incredibly loving and sweet and cuddly and awesome. All this dog wants in life is to be with her people. We don't have any bathroom problems in the house; she does well in the kennel (after she settled into her heavy duty kennel), and she walks nicely on a leash. Ronnie's a great size - not too big, not too small.  She rides nicely in the car, and we've been working on a little bit of anxiety when she's left alone in the car for brief periods of time.  She's doing really well. When we first started, we couldn't even leave her alone in the car to run into the house to grab something we forgot. Last weekend, I was able to run in to the grocery store for coffee beans, and she did great. I'll continue to take her for very short trips to build her confidence.

Oh, and Ronnie's seriously adorable. She's so cute that people have pulled their cars over to talk to us while we're walking in the neighborhood. So if anyone is looking for dog that can help them get a date, Ronnie would be perfect.

8/13/17 Volunteer Feedback: Ronnie had a kennel break at our house. She very interested in laying on the couch!

She had 2 poop accidents but that was it. Otherwise did all her business outside.

Ronnie doesn't love the kennel and will need a little work in this department. I was able to leave her in a metal kennel for roughly 25 minutes and although she was anxious, she did not bust out of it.  Ronnie will need some positive reinforcements with the kennel. I think it wouldn't take her long to be comfortable in one.

She is a lover and loves her people!! Ronnie is very content just hanging out with her family. She would be a pretty easy dog to have around once her fear of the kennel is relieved. And she is as cute as a button!!

8/12/17: Ronnie is a sweet lady who finds the world a little scary at times.  Men especially can scare her, but with patience, she realizes they are friends.  Ronnie will need a home who understands and can help her overcome her fears.
